Villefranche sur Mer
Villefranche-sur-Mer is located on the Riviera in idyllic settings between Nice and Monaco, by the Mediterranean.
Separated from Nice by the Mont Boron, the Mont Alban and the Mont Vinaigrier and at approximately 10 km from Monaco, Villefranche is built in terraces on the hillsides overhanging the Villefranche Bay, one of the deepest natural ports of the Western Mediterranean.
The harbour offers a save mooring sheltered from the East winds and accommodate many cruising ships.
The commune is naturally limited by the neighbouring hills and the altitude difference passing from the sea level up to Mont Leuze is over 500 meters at its climax, the terrestrial relief thus reflecting the underwater beds.
Three hill roads cross Villefranche-sur-Mer, leading you out of Nice to Monaco and Menton towards the Italian border, offering unforgettable views over the littoral.
